Grades 4-8

Reach for the stars this semester by devising an original play with an outer-space theme! The 4th-8th grade plays will spend Saturdays devising an original, space-themed world,  theme, story, characters, and script for a full performance that will take place in May 2021.  Each play will come together to form an extended universe saga. Think Marvel. Think Star Wars. Think bigger than that!

The weeknight classes will focus on character work, script analysis, and monologue development for a socially-distanced performance in January 2021.  Please note that the spring semester will be a separate sign-up starting in February.

We are excited to announce a special production that we will devise and produce in the spring of 2021 about students’ experience during the COVID epidemic. Students will work with Artistic Director Georgeanna, and YAT director Ryan (who is also the Artistic Director of NoExit Performance) in documenting their experiences throughout COVID. This first semester will be focused on social response theatre: building the story we will tell about the many feelings/fears/hard times/ and hope surrounding the last year. The second semester will continue the work of the fall, culminating in a performance in the spring.
