About the show
Q Artistry and Young Actors Theatre are partnering for the first time ever to present an immersive experience depicting the Triangle Factory Fire.
Triangle explores the labor movement, specifically of the garment district in New York City, in the early 1900s with a cast of 15 actors portraying actual people in history. From the progress made by the forming of unions to the people (mostly women) taking to the streets on strike to change unsafe and unfair working conditions, the piece then blends into one of the worst workplace disasters in history allowing viewers to witness the fire first hand. Audience members will also experience the story up-close and personal by "clocking in" upon entrance and receiving the name of a Triangle Factory worker that they will follow throughout the pace of the show.
The project also doubles as a theatre education and mentor experience as the cast includes not only members of the Indy professional acting community, but also teens who attained the roles through an open audition. Throughout the rehearsal process and performances, the teens work closely with the professional cast and learn alongside them.
