What do parents and show-goers
have to say about our program?
Young Actors Theatre is Indy's oldest independent
youth theatre. YAT was founded by Charlotte Kaufman in 1976 as part of the
Anthenaeum Turners School of Performing Arts. The mission
of YAT is to instill confidence, creativity and discipline in
the youth who participate in its Fall, Spring and Summer
programs.
Participants learn the craft of acting through
classes and rehearsals for a full-scale children's or teenage play presented
to the public at the end of each session. All registered students are cast in a speaking role
every Full Session!
YAT is located in the
Historic Athenaeum,
401 E. Michigan St.
